The following movie was very inspiring today. After discussion we found out that it is not possible to see the different mind waves with the device we use. The device in the movie is much more expensive. Link: http://blog.makezine.com/2011/05/05/collins-lab-brainwave-beats/

Another link which is inspiring

https://github.com/kitschpatrol/Arduino-Brain-Library
does also work with the mindwave. baudrate has to be set on 57.6k, not 9600. see http://frontiernerds.com/brain-hack/

There is also a nice concept scheme.

Today we tried to connect the mind wave to the arduino. We decided that it is hard to first build a system to get information from the mind wave which we could use, experiment with and save. Till now it doesn’t work. A minuit ago we decided to connect the arduino to the computer. Before we tried to connect the arduino directly with the mindwave.

With the help of the feeling wheel we looked at emotions which could be matched to music and which we can measure.

Sleepy, meditation wave high, concentration wave low

Sad, meditation wave high, concentration wave changing all the time

Relaxed, meditation wave high, concentration wave middle to low

Exited, meditation wave low, concentration wave low

Confused, meditation wave low, concentration wave high

Mad, meditation wave low, concentration wave low

When we can see the waves we want to test our expectations:

Sleepy: youtube film named make yourself sleep in 40 sec

Sad: WNF ads/ youtube film named sad piano (this will make you cry)

Relaxed: Nature movie with music behind it

Exited: youtube movie named wing suit film

Confused: Monthy Python last mint

Mad: youtube film about West Boro Babtist Church
